Watatrip Sweetscapades 7 Dessert Restaurants in MNL 01

Let’s go on a sweet trip, shall we? Literally!

Join us on a sugary adventure, as we scour the Metro for some of the best desserts restaurants (or stores) to satisfy our sweet tooth.

🍨 Sebastian’s Ice Cream

Sebastian’s Ice Cream is a popular dessert place in Manila that specializes in unique and innovative ice cream flavors. Uhm, champorado ice cream, anyone?

While they are known for their creativity, their use of high-quality ingredients in their products make them stand out.

Here are some of their signature, unique flavors:

  • Green Mango
  • Champorado
  • Lanzones Sorbet

You can also try their new flavors – Minatamis na Kamote, Cornucopia, Oat Milk Vanilla (V), and Pastillas de leche Con Limon

🍩 Poison Coffee & Doughnuts

Poison Coffee & Doughnuts is not your typical doughnut shop because of the variants that they offer. Their Pinoy-style bicho-bicho donuts are such a treat with its pillowy soft texture.

Try the S’mores Doughnut filled with chocolate custard, torched meringue, and graham crackers, or their newest flavor Cookie Butter Pecan Doughnut. How about a Halo Halo Doughnut, with ube custard, macapuno strips, leche flan, and banana chips? Just thinking about it makes our mouths water.

🧈 M Bakery Ph

M Bakery Ph continues to be one of the most raved about bakeries in Manila, Philippines, because of its delectable American-style baked goods and desserts.

They’ve masterfully captured the essence of an authentic American bakery and brought it to life in the bustling streets of Manila. They have a mouthwatering array of freshly baked cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, and brownies, muffins, and scones.

When you visit make sure to try out their signature banana pudding, which everyone and their grandma loves!

🥧 St. Louis Cafe

St. Louis Cafe is an Australian-style brunch cafe in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig. This cozy cafe is known for its delicious and hearty brunch dishes, as well as its wide selection of coffee and tea drinks. The ambience is perfect whether you choose to dine here with friends, family, co-workers, and even someone special.

You’d surely fall in love with Amalia’s Super Sundae. Imagine this, a generous scoop of french vanilla and chocolate noir ice cream topped with warm chocolate fudge brownie, dulce de leche, fresh strawberries, and chocolate cookie crumb. It’s like the cup of any sweet tooth’s dreams!

Another must-try dessert here is their Loaded Nutella Bomboloni, a certified crowd favorite, might we add!

Their brunch meals are equally as scrumptious as their desserts! So why not dig in while you’re there?

☕ Cooper’s Coffee Haus

Did you know that Cooper’s Coffee Haus venture started with only two varieties offered at Hai Chix & Steak’s Estancia branch? And now, it has expanded to five locations in just a span of one year. To say that they’ve mastered the art of crafting unique drinks, crepes, and pastries is truly an understatement at this point.

Their well-crafted cuppa joes really hit the spot. But, aside from that, their artisanal crepes are so delectable it’s worth every calorie!

If you’re a fruit-loving person, you should order their Mango Nutella Crepe and a Blueberry Cream Cheese Crepe. If you want something that’s a bit heavier for a crepe, then the Cooper’s Breakfast Crepe is the one for you or maybe check out their Honey Truffle Smoked Salmon. For our sweet tooth foodies out there, definitely order their Banana Nutella Brulee and Vanilla Biscoffe Crunch.

They also carry cakes, pies, cookies, and croissants! So much to chew on, so little time.

🥯 Pufft doughnuts

Although this is more of a pop-up shop than a restaurant, Pufft doughnuts deserves to be on this list because their desserts are delicious!

“Pufft is “adulting” doughnuts that you can take a knife and fork to and be totally valid for it.” Their doughnuts are soft, pluffy, and loaded with a tasty filling. Like for real. Order their Strawberry Monst Doughnuts to know why! With how glazed and filled to the brim it is with fresh strawberries and homemade strawberry jelly, the name truly makes sense!

If you want something more tropical, go for the Mangonut, a glazed doughnut with layers of thick and creamy vanilla custard, Chantilly cream and ripe seasoned mangoes.

Other signature treats:

  • Ube Tiramisu
  • Dolce Long John Doughnuts
  • Pistachio Chocolate Cruffin
  • Dulce de Leche

The Caramel Coffee Bingsu is both bold and sweet with its combination of coffee and caramel crunch and syrup. Another must-try is their Cookies and Cream Bingsu. Think McFlurry, but leveled up! And of course, the Mango Cheese Bingsu is a certified hit in the Philippines.
