Gabaldon Falls

Huge granite formations and lush greenery surround Gabaldon Falls. This enchanting cascade, standing at ten feet, beckons with its invigorating, ice-cold waters, a refreshing oasis for travelers. 

A mere 3-kilometer journey from the charming town of Gabaldon in Nueva Ecija unveils this natural wonder. Surrounded by imposing rock formations, the falls are fed by the crystal-clear waters descending from the majestic Sierra Madre mountains. Immerse yourself in the pure, potable waters that epitomize tranquility, creating an unforgettable experience amidst the breathtaking landscape. 

To maximize your Gabaldon Falls experience, make sure to don comfy footwear, pack a change of clothes, and stash some snacks and water because there are no nearby stores or food stalls. 

Note that there is a minimal entrance fee and cottage charges that are used to maintain this enjoyable haven for all visitors. 

Mount 387

In the heart of Nueva Ecija, where the Caraballo Mountains embrace the sky, a mesmerizing story unfolds—two identities interwoven in one amazing journey. Mount 387, also known as the enigmatic Batong Amat or “Ghost Rock,” does not beckon with towering grandeur, but rather whispers a subtle attraction that reaches deep into your soul.

Consider a beautiful tapestry ornamented with craggy trails, with sunshine flowing through the canopy of ancient trees. The breeze whispers softly in the air, and exotic birds chirp in unison. Camp Pangatian Shrine

A sense of sentimentality and pride awaits when you visit the Cabanatuan American Memorial, a poignant tribute to World War II. 

This memorial, located on the site of the former Camp Pangatian, a military training facility that was converted into an imprisonment center for Allied POWs during the Japanese occupation, reflects the fortitude of those who survived the Bataan Death March and the Cabanatuan Prisoner of War camp. 

On April 12, 1982, survivors formally dedicated the memorial, which has been maintained by the American Battle Grounds Commission since 1989. It is located eight kilometers north of the city center at Barangay Pangatian, along the Cabanatuan-Palayan route, and serves as a reminder of history’s indelible mark.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish

The St. Francis of Assisi Parish stands as the heart of Bongabon, welcoming Catholics and wanderers alike. Beyond regular religious services and spiritual guidance, this dynamic parish serves as a cultural hub, organizing community events and holiday celebrations. 

Its architecture is reminiscent of classic Filipino Catholic churches, and it is a visual feast.
